Job Summary
Phoenix Plastic Surgery is currently seeking a Front Desk and Patient Care Coordinator! We are a growing plastic and reconstructive surgery office. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task, and be reliable. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. The more consultations you schedule the more you share in the practice’s growth! Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Warmly greet patients in-person and on the phone.
· Gather pertinent information from insurance carriers to verify patients’ financial obligation for services.
· Demonstrate an interest in logistics to schedule consultations efficiently and promptly.
· Ensure that cancelled appointments and related ancillary appointments are rescheduled and communicated.
· Process and collect co-pays, deductibles, product, and surgical sales.
· Work with other medical providers and patients to ensure prompt scheduling of referrals.
· Assist in the scheduling of pre-op and post-op appointments.
· Initiate insurance authorizations for consultations in a timely manner.
· Process authorization appeals and gap exceptions when required for clinic visits.
· Communicate effectively and promptly via telephone and email.
· Keep Electronic Medical Record System schedule up to date.
· Perform general office duties when needed.
· Demonstrates detail orientated practices to ensure patient information and scheduling is accurate.
· Maintain a professional, team oriented, positive attitude daily.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor.
· Dedication to creating a pleasant (and fun!) patient experience (we are a light-hearted office).
· Minimum 1 year of front office, patient care coordination, or related experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of medical insurance processing including Medicare, Medicaid, In-Network, and Out-of-Network clinic visit authorizations
- Experience in Electronic Medical Record Systems (office utilizes Patient Now)
- Interest in expanding knowledge base and a strong desire to help grow a thriving practice.
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements.
- Strong work ethic
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Medical Assistant experience is a plus.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
