Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced medical assistant to assist our cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Shaun Patel! The ideal candidate values customer service and concierge care, has excellent communication skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a long-term role. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:45am-5:00pm.

Clinical Duties:(may include, but not limited to):
· Working closely with Dr. Patel on professional and personal tasks
· Assisting Dr. Patel with cosmetic and medical procedures
· Taking medical histories
· Explaining treatments and procedures to patients
· Preparing patients for examination
· Instructing patients about medications
· Authorizing prescription refills as directed
· Drawing blood
· Taking before and after treatment photos
Administrative Duties: (may include, but not limited to):
· Using computer applications
· Answering telephones
· Greeting patients
· Updating patient medical records
· Scheduling appointments
· Handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping
Requirements:
Preferred:
· 1 year of dermatology or medical aesthetics M.A. experience
Required:
· 1 year of medical assistant experience OR certified medical assistant
· Bilingual (English, Spanish)
· Hours: Monday – Friday 8:45AM to 5PM in Coral Gables, FL 33143

Miami Skin + Vein is a boutique cosmetic dermatology clinic in Coral Gables, Florida that provides a complete list of aesthetic medicine services. The clinic is led by Dr. Shaun Patel, a nationally renowned physician and leader in the fields of facial aesthetics and injectable and laser skin treatments. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Patel also performs clinical research at Miami Skin & Vein and regularly trains and teaches other physicians and providers on the latest advances and techniques in nonsurgical facial aesthetics. He has been recognized as being in the top 1% of injectors by injection volume across the country and serves as a key opinion leader and advisory board member for several companies in the aesthetic space including Galderma and Candela.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
