Position: Operations Director
Location: Crystal City, Arlington, VA
The Operations Director will support the overarching mission of the Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) in its effort to make recommendations to strengthen America’s long-term competitiveness for a future where artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies reshape our national security, economy, and society.

This is an in-person position at our headquarters in Crystal City. Located in the National Landing business development district, a four minute walk from Crystal City Metro on the blue/yellow lines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience providing direct organizational and administrative leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with strong initiative.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Effective and flexible team player.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Zoom.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the SCSP Operations team by delegating tasks for travel and events, managing new hire paperwork, and ensuring team coordination.
- Manage and ensure follow-up on email and correspondence on behalf of the Operations team.
- Ensure collaboration of advance preparation materials needed for meetings and events.
- Think creatively and independently to identify, evaluate, and solve issues connected to Operations and create effective systems.
- Coordinate regular interaction with the Operations team to ensure collaboration in establishing shared goals, determining priorities, and managing tasks.
- Determine deadlines and take action to assign projects and follow-up as-needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
