Position: Operations Director

Location: Crystal City, Arlington, VA

The Operations Director will support the overarching mission of the Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) in its effort to make recommendations to strengthen America’s long-term competitiveness for a future where artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies reshape our national security, economy, and society.

This is an in-person position at our headquarters in Crystal City. Located in the National Landing business development district, a four minute walk from Crystal City Metro on the blue/yellow lines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience providing direct organizational and administrative leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with strong initiative.
Exceptional verbal and written communication.
Effective and flexible team player.
Familiarity with Google Workspace and Zoom.

Responsibilities:

Lead the SCSP Operations team by delegating tasks for travel and events, managing new hire paperwork, and ensuring team coordination.
Manage and ensure follow-up on email and correspondence on behalf of the Operations team.
Ensure collaboration of advance preparation materials needed for meetings and events.
Think creatively and independently to identify, evaluate, and solve issues connected to Operations and create effective systems.
Coordinate regular interaction with the Operations team to ensure collaboration in establishing shared goals, determining priorities, and managing tasks.
Determine deadlines and take action to assign projects and follow-up as-needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
