Position Summary:
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing process, ensuring that all products and supplies are obtained in a timely and cost-effective manner, as well as resolving product and supply issues that arise through our Helpdesk system. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong knowledge of procurement practices.
Status: Full-time
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Hours: Hours are flexible, M-F 9am-5pm
Responsibilities:
Provide world class customer service and timely support to our employees/clinics.
Coordinate the purchasing process, including supplier selection, and order placement.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of products and services.
Review and process purchase orders, receipts, and other procurement-related documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and products that meet company requirements.
Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that purchasing activities are aligned with company goals and objectives.
Participate in cross-functional teams to support sourcing initiatives, cost savings, and process improvements.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to purchasing activities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
Excellent customer service, communication, and analytical skills.
Strong knowledge of procurement practices.
Proficiency in Google Work Space, Microsoft office and Smartsheets.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with ERP systems preferred.
