Best Self Aesthetics is seeking an experienced, achievement-oriented Staff Accountant to manage all aspects of the transactional day-to-day accounting operations for the Company. The Staff Accountant will report to the Financial Controller.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by performing day-to-day tactical accounting transactions including: revenue, operating expenses and accounts payable, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and journal entries
- Own and enhance the accounts payable workflow (including bill entry, coding, and approvals)
- Review and process employee expense reimbursements through Expensify and Rippling
- Review and code corporate credit card programs (American Express, Brex, and Rippling)
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations for five operating entities
- Enter daily sales transactions from CRM into accounting software for three on-site clinics
- Monitor and bill for intercompany expense allocations with related entities
- Conduct monthly sales reconciliations between the CRM software (Zenoti and Patient Now) and our accounting software (Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Desktop)
- Own aspects of month-end close including: preparing accruals, prepaid account reconciliations, intercompany consolidation, reclassification entries, and research of variances
- Complete the necessary monthly journal entries for GAAP accounting
- Compile inventory purchase analysis, margins, and COGS reporting
- Review results of monthly physical inventory counts and assist team in researching count discrepancies
- Conduct revenue audits, as necessary
- Assist the team with cross-training, projects, and ad-hoc tasks and reporting (as needed)
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
- Assist with the annual financial statement review and tax return process
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work with teams to ensure proper entry/capture of all financial data at various points in the company's business process
- Experience with processing monthly internal financial statements and related balance sheet reconciliations
- Excellent administration and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, diligent and detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills, high integrity and high performance standards in producing all reports and materials
- Maintains positive attitude in team environment
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, as a Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
- Strong skills in EXCEL software
- Experience with software (Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Desktop, Zenoti, PatientNow) or related medical spa industry experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Travel Required:
Full-time, remote role. All remote Best Self hires are expected to spend one week on-site in the first couple months of employment to truly understand the business & what we are providing.
