Medical Spa Technician/Medical Assistant
Adoro Medical Spa, one of the premier cosmetic medical spa practices in the Severna Park /Annapolis area, is seeking a Technician/Medical Assistant for our busy Severna Park location.
We are seeking an experienced, polished, professional candidate with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. This position works closely with the patients, surgeon, practice administrator, and all office staff and must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree recommended

Qualifications:
- Experience with practice management software and word processing applications
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- A “can-do” attitude, showing initiative and willingness to adapt to change
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Neat, professional, polished appearance
- Able to understand patient concerns and handle them appropriately
- Proven ability to handle upscale clientele and maintain high standards in patient care and confidentiality.
- Reliable transportation, punctual, and accountable.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
- Takes accurate patient photos
- Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; reporting patient history summary, and preparing patient for treatment/consult.
- Supports Physician by assisting with in-office procedures
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about procedures
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Prepares patients charts for upcoming appointments
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Serves and protects the ophthalmology/cosmetic practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Provide Concierge-level service and be highly responsive to all patient needs.
