Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution unless otherwise specified by the State's requirements that allow on-the-job training in lieu of certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience in an urgent care or primary care setting
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or med spa setting
What You'll Do
- Provide exemplary customer service; greet and treat all patients, visitors and coworkers with courtesy and discretion.
- Communicate in a courteous, professional, cooperative, and mature manner.
- Answer patient and client inquiries in a timely and polite manner; either responds to inquiry or directs the caller to appropriate personnel while entering appropriate clerical notation into the documentation record (EHR, patient relationship manager, or booking software).
- Maintain and document accurately on patients record of care electronically
- Enters confidential personal health information into computerized system with a high rate of accuracy
- Scans all patient clinical encounter documents into EMR and labels appropriately per protocol.
- Complies with federal and local laws in ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Rooms patients: Collecting clinical intake information, which includes, but is not limited to: medical history, medications, vital signs and allergies.
- Gathering information relative to the presenting illness or injury.
- Perform and complete patient testing including EKGs, Visual Acuity, Height, Weight, Venipuncture Specimen Collection
- Collect and perform Point-of-care testing, including influenza, Strep A, Covid-19, urine dipstick, urine pregnancy, mononucleosis, RSV
- Administering medications, including intramuscular and subcutaneous injections proficiently
- Assisting providers with procedures setup and during procedures as required
- Ensuring all patient documentation pre-procedure is complete and entered into the system
- Reviewing visit summaries and home care instructions with patients including prescriptions provided and work or school notes as well as follow-up care.
- Provide after-visit follow-up phone calls to all patients and relay any diagnostic testing results.
- Provide navigational care for patients including coordinating referrals, following up on medications, ordering from nearby pharmacies
- Ensures that equipment and supplies necessary to carry out patient care activities are available and usable and the environment is clean and organized
- Assisting Front Desk Concierge with client needs including directing clients to rooms, coordinating services
- Perform other tasks as delegated by the Providers or Studio Manager that are within scope
- Stocking supplies and client clothing in all areas of the studio
- Utilizing online RX ordering systems
- May be required to perform duties and responsibilities not listed in this description, on a temporary or long-term basis as assigned.
- May be required to work and accept a flexible schedule to meet the demands and needs of the practice.
- It is essential that our staff is able to fulfill a requirement to work weekends and equally shared operational holidays per company policy.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
