Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Regional Laser Training Manager to join our team at European Wax Center in Long Island and Queens. This role is integral to ensuring that our licensed estheticians and beauty professionals are properly trained in laser hair removal techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, extensive experience in laser, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service standards.
Position reports to the Head of Laser Training.
Key Responsibilities:
· Training Delivery: Conduct in-depth training sessions for new and existing estheticians on laser hair removal techniques, including hands-on demonstrations, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
· Certification & Compliance: Ensure all trainees meet the necessary state and industry requirements for laser certifications. Stay updated on local, state, and national regulations and ensure the team is compliant with all safety standards.
· Continuous Education: Provide ongoing coaching and development for existing staff, introducing new techniques, technologies, and best practices in laser hair removal. Evaluations will require in-person and virtual work, as well as frequent reviews of laser forms that both Laser Techs and guests are required to complete.
· Curriculum Development: Providing insight on and updating training materials, manuals, and presentations to reflect the latest industry standards, techniques, and EWC's service protocols
· Performance Evaluation: Assess the performance of trainees, providing constructive feedback to ensure they meet EWC’s service excellence standards.
· Equipment Management: Train staff on the proper maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and management teams to ensure training aligns with company objectives and enhances the overall guest experience.
· Guest Safety & Satisfaction: Ensure that all safety measures are strictly followed during treatments to protect both staff and guests, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
· Extensive Travel Across Long Island/Queens: Ability to travel to various European Wax Center locations across Long Island and Queens as required. Up to 90% of the time, this role will require travel regionally.
· Laser Tech Shifts: Ability to step in and take shifts on short notice of Laser Techs who call out sick and/or leave EWC until we can find a replacement hire.
· Flexibility: Flexible schedule, with availability for occasional evenings or weekends, depending on training and laser shift needs. This person must be open to continual changes in laser processes/training/operations as we work on optimizing our practices in-center.
Qualifications:
· Education & Licensing:
o Licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist with a valid Laser Hair Removal Certification in the state of New York.
o Must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in laser hair removal.
· Experience:
o Proven track record of delivering effective training programs, preferably in a beauty or skincare setting.
o Experience with a range of laser technologies and devices (e.g., diode lasers, Alexandrite lasers, etc.), including the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus.
· Skills & Competencies:
o Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
o Strong leadership abilities and a passion for mentoring others.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance.
o Ability to manage multiple training sessions and adapt to various learning styles.
