Currently accepting applications for a full time medical assistant position for our Neurologist/Interventional Pain Management Specialist. The MA will be working with our MD on direct patient care and procedures. Applicant must be exceptionally qualified, dedicated to excellent patient care, and results oriented. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must. Personal Injury & Pain Management experience preferred. MA must be a team player and willing to give 110%. In our clinic, patients always come first. Front desk receptionist with experience in patient management. Must be willing to assist with customer service, sales, billing, clerical duties, and any task in the office in a team setting needed to make the business grow. Must be a self starter, hard working, well organized, and highly efficient individual. We are looking for someone that is very responsible, that likes to smile, is a positive people person, with a big heart. Super strong communication skills, and enjoys helping people. We are looking for a well presenting, team player, extremely well organized, clean, and neat person to join our office. Candidate must have knowledge of client management, be coachable to learn clerical duties, very efficient, and hard working. Proper friendly phone etiquette skills, aggressive scheduling, and rescheduling is a must. Candidate must also have fast typing skills and have working knowledge of the computer. This is not a spa setting! We focus on treating car accident injuries and also some wellness patients. Must be willing to assist with therapies, therapeutic exercises, clerical duties, and any task in the office in a team setting needed to make the practice grow. Administrative Duties (include, but not limited to):
- Using EMR software
- Answering telephones if medical receptionist unavailable
- Greeting patients
- Updating patient medical records
- Scheduling appointments as needed and after appointments if medical receptionist unavailable
- Daily cleaning of treatment rooms including sanitization of treatment tables (More if necessary)
- Phlebotomists required
Clinical Duties (include, but not limited to):
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examination
- Assisting the physician during exams and procedures
- Instructing patients about medication
- Authorizing prescription refills as directed
- Removing sutures and changing dressings
- Explaining PRE/POST OP instructions
MA will be working 3-4 days in office and 1 day remotely from home

$20 an hour
