About the position:
NewU is recognized for our weight loss program which has produced transformational results for our patients. As a Certified Nutrition / Weight Loss Coach, you will play a vital role continuing and enhancing this program, serving as an advocate, educator, and counselor for patients seeking guidance on their weight loss journey. We’re looking for a passionate individual, who is committed to motivating and supporting our patients to achieve their health and weight loss goals.

- At least 2 years of experience in weight loss, nutrition, or personal training. While an RN license is preferred, it is not required.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide initial consultations for new patients and follow up with existing patients to ensure continuity of care and progress.
- Offer counseling, encouragement, and support throughout each patient’s weight loss journey, addressing concerns and providing ongoing guidance.
- Educate patients on nutrition, exercise, and weight management strategies, empowering them to make informed health decisions.
- Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, facilitating communication and ensuring seamless coordination of care.
- Collaborate with other team members at New U to develop personalized care plans for patients.
- Assist patients in scheduling appointments and coordinating all aspects of their weight loss program.
Requirements:
- Have a Current Washington State Registered Nurse License.
- A valid and current certification as a Certified Nutrition Coach through NASM, renewed every two years.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to connect with individuals at all levels.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and the capability to assess issues and implement successful solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Dedication to cultivating a supportive and team-oriented environment.
