Job Summary
The Cosmetic Laser Technician is responsible for performing a range of laser treatments and skin care procedures, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of laser technologies, skin care protocols, and client consultation to provide safe, effective, and customized treatment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Laser Treatments: Perform a variety of cosmetic laser procedures, including laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation correction, and other laser-based skin treatments as per company offerings.
- Client Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations to understand clients' needs, goals, and skin conditions, and provide professional recommendations for appropriate laser treatments.
- Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans, addressing client goals, and establishing expectations and potential outcomes.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate laser equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines; perform basic maintenance and report any issues to management.
- Client Education: Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care to maximize results and minimize side effects, ensuring client safety and satisfaction.
- Sanitation and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols, keeping work areas clean, organized, and compliant with state and local health regulations.
- Record-Keeping: Document client treatments, progress, and follow-up notes to maintain accurate and confidential records.
- Continuing Education: Stay informed on the latest in cosmetic laser technology, trends, and safety practices, attending training as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification from an accredited Laser Technician program is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid and current Laser Technician certification/license in the state of [Insert State], meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a medical spa or aesthetic practice performing laser treatments, though recent graduates with strong foundational skills may be considered.
