JOB SUMMARY: Our busy plastic surgery practice is seeking an experienced aesthetician to join our team. The aesthetician works hand-in-hand with our surgeon & injector to provide high-quality skin care to all of the practice's patients. This includes performing skin care evaluations, recommending appropriate topical treatments, and performing appropriate topical interventions (including chemical peels, hydrafacials, µ-needling). The ideal candidate is a polished professional with a strong work ethic and both exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma and Aesthetician license required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a licensed aesthetician
- Experience with practice management software and word processing applications
- Comfortable using email, SMS (text), and social media to professionally interact with existing and prospective patients
- Understanding of efficiency, automation, and patient flow in a medical practice
- A desire to grow both your personal brand and the brand of the practice through hustle and outstanding care
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Neat, professional appearance
- Able to understand patient concerns and handle them appropriately
- Proven ability to handle upscale clientele and maintain high standards in patient care and confidentiality.
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Client Services
- Performs skin care procedures and treatments, including but not limited to: chemical peels, facials, hydrafacials, micro needling, and pre-and postsurgical skin care.
- Maintains patient skin care records, consent forms and detailed documentation of treatment, products purchased, medications prescribed, complaints, educational information and copies of personalized skin care regimens
- Ensures the skin care rooms/areas exhibit a comfortable and professional look and feel; maintains all equipment and furnishings
- Maintains treatment rooms and work stations in compliance with OSHA standards
- Maintains equipment for proper operation, including cleaning as suggested by manufacturer
- Coordinates patient care with surgeons, including but not limited to the use of topical medications, pre- and post-operative care and various patient compliance concerns
- Maintains knowledge of cosmetic surgery procedures performed in the office and makes appropriate referrals
- Works with medical staff and patients to maintain appropriate pre and post-surgery skincare regimens
Promotion and Marketing
- Coordinates with the manager to develop promotions and marketing plans
- Develops and maintains relationships with key individuals at local spas and resorts, as well as other potential referral sources
- Promotes skincare products to patients and staff
- Identifies areas of services designed to expand skincare and practice services
- Participates in skincare and practice marketing and promotional plans including: events, focus groups, seminars, community presentations, and advertisements
Typical Working Conditions:
- This position is a part-time position (2-3 days a/week) with the potential to transition into a full time position
- Normal business hours - 8:30AM-5PM Monday - Thursday; 8AM-3PM on Friday.
