New England Dermatology & Laser Center has been providing dermatology care to the greater Springfield community for over 50 years. We're looking for an experienced Medical Assistant Aesthetician with conscientious work ethics & dedication to the team to join our busy specialty practice.
The Medical Assistant Aesthetician will assist with the care of Cosmetic and General Dermatology patients. The ideal candidate will be professional, courteous and a patient team player who works also works well independently and has demonstrated knowledge of skin conditions, skin care, anatomy, physiology, systemic diseases, cosmeceutical and organic ingredients, chemistry, medications, cosmetic fillers and Botox, allergies and medical terminology. The primary duties include: rooming patients, documenting visits, taking patient histories, reconciling medications, assisting with cosmetic, laser and general dermatology procedures and surgeries, preparing cosmetic solutions for treatment, taking before and after photos, educating patients about procedures and after care, triaging and returning phone calls, scheduling appointments, cleaning/stocking rooms and other related tasks.

Schedule: M-F 7:30a-4:30p, 40 hours per week (1 hour non-paid lunch)
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime and scheduling flexibility may be required to accommodate operational needs.
Work setting: In-person. The regular work location will be Springfield, Westfield and Longmeadow, but may vary between our offices (Northampton, Springfield, Longmeadow and Westfield) based on staffing and provider needs.
This position reports to the General Dermatology Supervisor.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and Medical Assisting Certificate from an accredited school required. A CMA, RMA or CDT and 1-year medical assisting direct patient care experience is required. Massachusetts Licensed Esthetician and 1-year cosmetic dermatology experience preferred. CPR Certification required.
