Patient Concierge needed for busy Plastic Surgery office. Must Haves: Customer service or hospitality experience, professional and courteous with an emphasis on confidentiality and professional appearance, integrity, passion for helping people. We're looking for a team player with a "can do" attitude. Must have the ability to problem solve. This role is the first impression of our practice for our patients and sets the tone for everyone's experience from that point forward.
Front Desk Check In/Out
- Greet and welcome all patients and visitors to the practice using excellent customer service skills.
- Answering phone calls and emails.
- Communicating patient needs/questions to Providers and other staff.
- Managing rewards programs.
- Presents forms to be completed (paper and electronic) to be filled out, provides any assistance needed by the patient.
- Scans driver's license/photo ID and both sides of insurance card(s), verifies current information on file is accurate and up-to-date.
- Verify and update all demographic and insurance information on established patients.
- Schedule all appointments in a professional, accurate, and courteous manner.
- Responsible for all areas of patient check in and check out.
- Check out all patients and collect appropriate monies due (payment for cosmetic procedures, co-pays).
- Schedule all follow-up appointments.
- Keeps patients informed of any delays in being taken back by clinic staff.
- Balance all charges and collections showing in computer against encounter forms and all money collected.
- Ensures all money is accounted for. Notify manager of any discrepancies (over or under).
- Maintains orderliness of waiting area throughout the day, paying attention to the neatness of magazines, brochures, binder, products, and removing items discarded by patients.
- Maintains knowledge of our retail, skin care services, injectables, and surgical procedures.
- Maintains professional image through appropriate attire and grooming.
- Performs all other duties/tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Treats all patients and other staff members with respect, is polite and professional, and keeps patient information private and secure according to HIPAA.
- Ability to effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling.
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and telephone etiquette.
