Fox Valley Plastic Surgery (FVPS) offers cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery to patients in the Fox Valley, and has served over 35,000 patients in the last 30 years. In addition to having a Vein Center and and a Lifestyle Therapies Center, FVPS also has a medical day spa (Renaissance Medispa) and the Laser Institute of Wisconsin™. A fully licensed medical aesthetician position is available in the Oshkosh location for the Renaissance Medispa. The Medispa is open until 6:30 PM on Tuesday, and until 5:00 PM the remainder of the week. It is currently not open on the weekends.

Our aestheticians are experts in skin care products, and perform several cosmetic treatments for skin rejuvenation. Our aestheticians also provide advanced medical aesthetic treatments such as peels, Hydrafacial™, dermaplaning, and microdermabrasion. The Medispa offers laser treatments for skin rejuvenation, fat reduction, and removal. General duties include updating EMR's, maintaining rooms, and keeping up to date with product changes. Qualified applicants must have excellent customer service skills, good computer skills, and experience as a medical aesthetician.
Essential Functions
- Expertly perform facial and body treatments.
- Perform detailed skin evaluation with the Visia® system, and make skin and treatment recommendations.
- Explain and sell products and services to patients.
- Follow Medispa service traditions to ensure service standards and consistency are met. Ensure Medispa atmosphere remains consistent with the brand.
- Record patient needs and preferences, and the services provided into an EMR.
- Maintain the rooms, and keep them stocked.
- Assist other employees when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin aesthetician license
- Must have a baseline of product knowledge on a medical level.
- Prefer experience with HydraFacials.
- Experience in medical aesthetics with lasers is a huge plus.
- Experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Strong keyboarding skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Positive work references required. All professional references are checked.
Competencies
- Must learn the product lines that we carry, and be able to make recommendations based on the results from the Visia Skin Analysis system.
- Must possess expert knowledge of the skin including anatomy, functions, and common issues, and be able to adapt each treatment to the needs of the patient.
- Must be meticulous and accurate when working with patient data.
- Must protect patient confidentiality.
- Possess solid customer service skills with a friendly personality. Must be able to converse and connect to patients.
- Must have stamina to work on feet all day and to use hand pieces for body contouring.
- Project professional appearance and have high grooming standards. No large visible tattoos. No visible piercings other than the ears.
- Must be reliable and not have unauthorized absences or tardiness. This is a small office and every person is needed.
