REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager
STATUS: Growing Dermatology practice seeks to add to our fantastic staff for our Longmont office and our Estes Park office. Longmont would be the primary practice location.
Compensation: Contingent upon experience
Medical Assistant Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the physicians or physician assistant with patient care including assisting provider with procedures, treatments, obtaining history and chief complaint; assisting with patient education on treatment plans, medication scribing.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma.
2. Preferred two years of experience in a medical office working as a medical assistant, CNA, LPN, or EMT.
3. Experience in Dermatology a plus.
4. Surgical Assist experience, including Mohs' surgery a plus.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
Primary Duties
1. Escorts patients to exam rooms in order of appointment times. Obtains short history as required by patient’s chief complaint for both cosmetic and general dermatology patients. Obtains information regarding patients skin care regiment. Obtains or updates medication list if necessary. Sets up exam room according to scheduled procedure or anticipate physicians needs if non-scheduled procedure is likely. Scribes patient note
2. Medical Assistant responsible for patient education of skin care to reinforce physician’s therapy regime and enhance patient confidence
3. Medical Assistant responsible for development of written instructions on various aspects of skin care to include pre & post care and procedure consents
4. Keeping up to-date on product and service needs to ensure our spa is remaining competitive
5. Medical Assistant responsible for assisting patients via phone and / or in person when available as appropriate
7. Responsible for maintaining a work area that is appropriate for: a. Patient treatments b. Product sales
9. Proficiency with EHR documentation - attention to detail

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
