Dermatology practice looking for a full-time aesthetician with excellent communication skills. Must be a licensed esthetician with some experience. The medical aesthetician will work independently (supported by front office staff and Physician) and will develop individual patient care and product regimens according to each patient’s needs.
SUMMARY: Licensed Esthetician functions within their scope of certification/licensure and should be able to provide a full range of medical aesthetician services.
Duties include:
- Facials
- Chemical peels
- Dermaplaning
- Microdermabrasion
- Microneedling
- Eyebrow waxing and shaping
- Eyebrow and eyelash tinting
- Waxing
- Hydrafacials
- Educate patients about medical treatments, cosmetic procedures, and skin care products.
- Manage inventory and order products used in esthetician services.
- Prepare marketing information for monthly specials.
- Organize, prepare and promote beauty events.
- Responsible for internal marketing to medical providers and patients
- Educating patients in skincare treatments and developing an individualized treatment plan.
- Posting and marketing on Facebook/Instagram and other social media websites.
- Attend outside events to market and promote services and business
- Perform monthly inventory
- Aim to reach monthly goals
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
- Administrative duties including answering the phone, phone consults, scheduling appointments, workflow, taking payments
- Ensures proper charting; act as scribe for physician
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and Tasks Include:
- Provide medical facials, chemical peels, microderm, lash and brow tinting, brow and waxing.
- Accurately assess the condition of a patient’s skin and make informed recommendations about treatments and/or skin care product regimens in order to enhance the appearance of the skin.
- Must have the ability to identify skin conditions and recommend appropriate treatments and/or products to correct or improve conditions.
- Provide consultations to patients who are interested in all elective services offered by the practice.
- Ability to utilize POS and EMA to schedule patients
- Following up with patients about their prescribed skincare/medication
- Contribute to the creation of promotional campaigns that will grow the business without harming the practice’s premium brand status.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid MI Esthetician license
- Must have 2+ years experience
- Must have social media experience
- This position requires someone who is sales/marketing minded and is passionate about beauty and health.
- A minimum of one year work experience in Dermatology desirable, but not required.
- Knowledgeable in dermatology and cosmetic procedures and products.
- Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Flexibility is required.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information

Salary: Compensation is an hourly wage with commission, and is commensurate with experience. Benefits include vacation and holiday pay for full or part time.
