If so, The Pfister is looking for a full time OR part time Hotel Butler to be a part of our team and continue its iconic legacy. As a Hotel Butler, you will attend to guest needs while providing our signature service via phone, listening and following up on voice messages, directing calls to other lines, recording wake-up calls and taking room service orders. Our Hotel Butler works as our guest's liaison, delivering their requests to the appropriate department, resulting in complete guest satisfaction.
Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976.
What you will be doing:
- Answer Hotel Butler phone calls and acting as an ambassador of the hotel by providing information about local attractions, Pfister history, hotel amenities and services while fulfilling any special requests.
- Coordinate any necessary support from other departments and/or managers while using a clear, understandable speaking voice, exercising judgment, providing solutions and options.
- Take room service orders, coordinating amenity deliveries and ensuring prompt and accurate service.
- Fulfill VIP and special requests for products and services.
- Partner with other key guest service departments including; bell services, valet, front desk, concierge, room service, restaurants, engineering, housekeeping and spa.
- Maintain 4 diamond service with an eager "can do" attitude and by always seeking new ways to impress and delight guests.
- Other Job duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to effectively deal with guest and fellow associates in a friendly and positive manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent and prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
- Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.
- Ability to speak, read and communicate fluently in English.
- Candidates must be able to think on their feet and use initiative when necessary.
- Excellent customer relations, communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to change direction quickly and work on multiple requests at once.
