Position Summary: Responsible for analyzing and providing customized skincare treatments to a variety of cosmetic dermatology patients. This position will provide aesthetic services, procedures, and recommend retail products to help improve and maintain the health of a patient’s skin.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide various skin treatments for patients that may include:
- Aesthetic procedures that require physician oversight such as Photorejuvenation, CoolSculpting, PRP and Microneedling.
- Laser hair removal, body and facial hair
- Chemical Peels
- Microdermabrasion
- Various other cosmetic procedures
- Prepares patients for treatment, positions instruments and equipment, interviews patients, explains procedures and treatments to patient to ensure understanding.
- Observes each patient, records significant conditions and reactions
- Records all pertinent information in patient’s chart, accurately codes all services provided.
- Consults with patients regarding skin care needs, procedures, outcomes, problems, etc.
- Assists providers as needed with patient’s skin care
- Oversees and provides skin care and cosmetic products for patients.
- Maintains inventory of products and reports on sales of products
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity in accordance with Health Information Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and excellent customer service.
- Participate in department or unit quality improvement activities.
- Responsible for greeting and assisting customers upon walk-in.
- Perform front desk duties as needed.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience working in a medical setting; dermatology or plastic surgery preferred
Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited program
- Maintain appropriate state licensure
- Current CPR certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in an active multi-office environment
- Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment
- Ability to follow or provide verbal and written instructions
- Basic to intermediate computer operation
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
