OBJECTIVE: Educating students effectively with passion and industry knowledge in order to accomplish Vogue College of Cosmetology mission, goals, objectives, and continuing purpose.
EDUCATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Teach and follow Vogue College of Cosmetology published curriculum, using all teaching aids and handouts provided even if you feel you have additional information to offer. No deviation from the published schedules will be allowed unless approved. Learn any new course or teaching method introduced during employment and follow it consistently
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Vogue College of Cosmetology Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy, the standards of conduct, practical course requirements, grading criteria, and state regulations within 30 days of employment
- Conduct progress evaluations and counseling sessions with students monthly, according to the Satisfactory Progress Policy. Maintain evaluation forms in student files or in a binder until the student leaves school. Review a student's progress toward course completion with regard to practical requirements and provide ample opportunity for them to meet requirements prior to graduation.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the student tracking database within 90 days of employment.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Vogue College of Cosmetology overall objectives as stated in the catalog and strive to attain them at all times
- Use audio/visual aids including dry erase boards, TVNCR/DVD, LCD projector, computer and handouts as applicable and required for each class
- Provide assistance as assigned in the clinic. Grade practical skills upon completion according to established grading criteria. Record grades on Practical Requirements Sheet and explain grades to students at the appropriate time. Post the Practical Grading Skills Criteria Document and make sure students understand how they are graded.
- Conduct practical skills tests in accordance with state board guidelines upon completion of Phase I, at approximately course midpoint, and during the last two to four weeks of training.. Ensure that Phase I students complete the required theory and practical classes and pass the final written and practical grade out PRIOR to advancing to Phase II and the clinic.
- Maintain the Inventory Needs sheet and report immediate needs to administration
- Provide employment assistance for graduating students as needed, including posting job openings to bulletin board and placement binder. Document efforts and strive for a rate of 80% or better.
- Make every effort to properly prepare students for state licensing examinations and strive for a 90% state exam pass rate each year.
- Monitor reception desk procedures and help students learn how to manage from desk by working at the desk and following procedures.
- Monitor bathrooms throughout the day to ensure they are supplied with toilet paper and paper towels and are kept sanitary and hygienic.
- Supervise assigned clinic floor area or classroom at all times. No students are to ever be on the clinic floor or classroom without an educator.

Experience:
- Esthetics: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
