Provides leadership and direction for the programs and services associated with overall resident and team member satisfaction. Assists with leading and managing community neighborhoods/departments, primarily in health services. Leads an interdisciplinary team in providing unique opportunities for personal growth, life enrichment and self-expression for the community while enriching life’s journey for residents, team members and families.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have college degree in Recreation and Leisure Services, Health Care Management, Gerontology or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working with the elderly and three to five years of management experience.
- Must be licensed by the State of Virginia as a Nursing Home Administrator
JOB DUTIES
- Assist with the development of objectives to support Pinnacle Living's Adaptive Framework and Preferred Future State.
- Develops and implements a survey ready program ensuring that the quality of care and quality of life are offered to all residents of the highest standard in collaboration with all constituents including residents, team members, and families. Survey ready means the Administrator leads the community to be in compliance with Federal and state regulations and CARF standards..
- Develops and implements Pinnacle Living's Culture Change initiatives in collaboration with all constituents including residents, team members, and families.
- Works with the human resource team to develop team members at all levels by starting with the categories of attracting great people, hiring, onboarding, and creating individual development plans. Utilizes human resource team to assure policy and procedures compliance, implement corrective action, perform annual performance appraisals, and assure compensation integrity, workplace safety and environmental reviews..
- Pathways to Wellness philosophy: exploit Pathways wellness dimensions to all levels of care, merge wellness at work programs with Pathways to Wellness to improve team member and resident well being..
- Participates and assists in facilitating the creation of our annual budget process for the entire community.
- Assist in development and implementation of action plans to address resident and team member satisfaction surveys in conjunction with Executive Team.
- Assist as needed in any new projects emerge that will require multi-departmental collaboration or task forces.
- Leads the overall responsibilities of the Health Services Neighborhoods: Memory Support, Assisted Living, and Health Center. This includes the hiring and supervision of direct report positions.
- Assists and/or substitutes for Executive Director with daily oversight of community management.
- Review financials and assist in strategies for meeting budgets with Executive Director and Business Office Director.
- Assist Department Directors as needed with all resident and/or team member related concerns, policy interpretation, satisfaction or programs development.
- Collaborates with the Executive Director in planning our agenda for Resident Council meetings and contributes toward their success.
- Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with community agencies, subcontractors, and service providers, including: home health, home care, hospice, rehab services, and pharmacy.
- Serves as a main point of contact for all team members, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies and the public.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Health services environment with frequent bending, stooping, walking and standing, making frequent rounds of the community.
- May have to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Some outside work including the operation of motor vehicles and the transportation of resident.
