Responsibilities
- Administer injectable medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine suitability for injections.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications post-injection.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients on injection procedures, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in injection techniques.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Proficiency in trauma medicine, ER practices, and infant care is preferred.
- Strong skills in medication administration and catheter care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage patient records effectively.
