ESTHETICIAN
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced esthetician to join our team at Joanna Vargas Skin Care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional services to our clients. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality services that meet our clients needs and expectations. The ideal candidate for this position should have a deep understanding of skin anatomy and physiology, along with the ability to evaluate clients’ skin conditions and recommend appropriate treatments and products. You will be expected to adhere to Joanna Vargas’ standard.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Having the ability to perform all types of facials and medical treatments offered at Joanna Vargas, LTD.
2. Keeping an accurate knowledge of all the products being offered at Joanna Vargas, LTD.
3. Conducting skin analysis to determine the specific needs of clients
4. Offering personalized recommendations after the treatment by providing recommendations for future services and products that can benefit the clients specific needs.
5. Ensuring that the clients have a positive experience during their appointment by being attentive, courteous and professional in your interactions and make sure that clients feel comfortable and satisfied with the service they receive.
6. Following the facial procedures in accordance with the Joanna Vargas Skin Care standard .
7. Advising clients on how to maintain healthy skin and recommending skincare products for home use.
8. Exhibiting awareness of and enthusiasm for all spa programs, services and promotions currently being offered
9. Coordinating with the front desk staff on what packages should be recommended to the clients
10. Creating detailed notes to keep accurate records/documentation of each treatments,products used, follow ups and client concerns
11. Creating and keeping accurate records of client treatment plans and progress.
12. Sending a personalized mail to thank clients for their visit which can also create an opportunity to remind them of the benefits of regular treatments and encourage rebooking
13. Ensuring that the rebookingstats are stable or higher by building and maintaining clientele
14. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the treatment room and sterilizing equipments
15. Managing appointment scheduling, booking, and cancellation by coordinating with the front desk staff
16. Creating a successful client outreach plan with the front desk staff
COMPETENCIES
● Knowledge of skin anatomy and physiology : A good esthetician should have a deep understanding of the structure and function of the skin, including different skin types and conditions
● Technical skills: esthetician should be proficient in a variety of skin care treatments such as facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and her related procedures
● Attention to detail: The ability to pay attention to detail is crucial in this field to ensure that the clients’ skin need is properly evaluated and the appropriate treatment is provided
● Customer service: Good communication skills and the ability to provide customer service are essential in building a strong client base
● Sales skill: estheticians should be able to recommend and sell skin care products to their clients, based on their specific needs and skin type
● Time management: The ability to manage time efficiently and effectively is critical to ensure that clients are seen in a timely manner
● Hygiene and safety: estheticians should have a thorough understanding of proper hygiene and safety procedures that ensures that their clients and protected from potential harm or infections
● Flexibility and adaptability: estheticians should be able to adapt to different skin types or conditions, as well as work under varying circumstances
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
● Must hold a valid esthetician license in the state of employment
● Must have at least 3-5 years of experience as a licensed esthetician
● Sales and marketing experience is a plus
